Public Call for Improvement of the Business Environment in Pomoravlje Opened

Eligible entities may be awarded a grant of up to USD 4,000 for the procurement of equipment and software, implementation of relevant standards, and certification.

The Regional Economic Development Agency for  Šumadija and Pomoravlje has published a public call for participation in the Business Development Support Program, which is an integral part of the project "Support to Business Environment Improvement in Pomoravlje District" funded by the Kingdom of Norway through project "Norway for you - Serbia".

The objective of this project is to contribute to favorable socio-economic development in the Pomoravlje district, by creating opportunities to increase the competitiveness of economic entities and encourage employment of young people, women and vulnerable groups.

The business development support program consists of financial and non-financial support to entrepreneurs, micro and small enterprises in the food industry, and includes the award of grants, professional support, professional services and additional training to improve business, employment, increase competitiveness and better positioning on the market.

The total budget of the Program is USD 40,000, and the project will include at least 10 beneficiaries. Eligible entities may be awarded a grant of up to USD 4,000 for the procurement of equipment and software, implementation of relevant standards, and certification. They can also receive non-financial support through mentoring, certified business plan training, financial management and SME participation in public procurement, as well as consulting support for food safety, standardization, marketing, design and branding.
Entrepreneurs, micro and small companies from the food industry sector in Paraćin, Ćuprija, Despotovac and Rekovac, who are registered with the Business Registers Agency on 1 January 2018 at the earliest, have the right to apply for the Public Invitation. Detailed criteria are available on the website of the Regional Economic Development Agency for  Šumadija and Pomoravlje, and the deadline for submitting applications is 16 December 2020.
