Norwegian Support to Companies in Novi Pazar for Innovations and Market Expansion 

The Kingdom of Norway, through the "Norway for you - Serbia" project, has provided support to 12 entrepreneurs and small-sized enterprises that have implemented their innovative ideas and boosted production, owing to which 14 people found jobs.

The Mayor of Novi Pazar, Nihat Biševac, and the Deputy Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway, Geir Håkon Johansen, have discussed today the support that the Kingdom of Norway has been sending to Novi Pazar over the last few years.

"Our partnership with Norway is exceptionally constructive, and I would like to emphasize in particular Norway's support in improving the basic infrastructure and enhancing the innovative capacity and competitiveness of local businesses, which has contributed to youth employment. Thus, Norway has significantly contributed to improving the lives of Novi Pazar citizens", said the Mayor of Novi Pazar, Nihat Biševac.

Through the "Norway for you - Serbia" project, nine entrepreneurs and small businesses were supported in starting and improving their business, through the procurement of equipment. As part of the project for support to youth employment, which was implemented by the organization ENECA, three companies from Novi Pazar received the necessary certification and organized business training courses for young people.

"We have focused on the contribution to addressing the problem of unemployment, improving the competitiveness of the economy and developing infrastructure in underdeveloped areas of Serbia." Today we see very tangible results of our support to companies in their efforts to expand their markets by means of various innovations", said the Deputy Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway, Geir Håkon Johansen.
