Kingdom of Norway Supporting the Creation of New Jobs with €700,000

The Kingdom of Norway has earmarked €700,000 within the “Norway for You” project to support new entrepreneurs and boost the productivity of the existing companies and the creation of new jobs. Future entrepreneurs and existing micro and small enterprises in 91 local self-government units within the project Area of Responsibility are eligible to apply for grants up to €10,000 within the public Call for Proposals (CfP), which will be open until 17 July 2019.

This public CfP aims to contribute to more balanced socio-economic development in Serbia by increasing employment opportunities and social cohesion in less developed parts of the country. The activities supported within it are to result in improving the operations of existing companies and the launch of new business entities and, consequently, the opening of at least 70 new jobs.

The CfP is divided into two lots and €350,000 have been set aside for each lot. Lot 1 targets the unemployed who want to launch their own businesses. The future entrepreneurs granted funding will be under the obligation to co-fund 10% of their projects. Lot 2 targets enterprises registered between 1 January 2014 and 31 December 2018 and in need of support to create new jobs; they will be under the obligation to co-fund 20% of their projects in cash. The detailed CfP criteria and supporting documentation to be submitted are available on the “Norway for You” project website www.norveskazavas.org.rs/en/ktext/public-call-for-proposals-for-support-to-beginners-in-business-and-to-development-of-existing-businesses-through-procurement-of-the-equipment-and-provision-of-services
